Did you know?

North Dakota became U.S. territory back in 1803 due to the Louisiana Purchase. In 1861 it was considered Dakota territory. It wasn’t until November of 1889 that North Dakota became its own state. No one actually knows if it was the 39th or 40th state. We just know that it was in fact, one of the two. Because of the alphabetical order, North Dakota is generally listed at number 39. There was actually a pretty large controversy over which would become a state first. President Benjamin Harrison took it upon himself to shuffle the bills and sign them randomly, making the order non-recordable.
Rent is pretty high here. It’s actually ranked as some of the highest. There’s a one-bedroom that was found to cost almost $2400! Even in New York City, rent isn’t that steep.
